How the fxxk do you find a job?
Answering ads, sending resumes. No call.
Improved resume with advice. No call.
I call companies, speak with recruiters, say they’ll get back to me. No call.
Whenever they say “It’s not me that makes the final decision” = No call.
I follow up with them. Instead I get a wonderful email about how wonderful the weather is outside and I should go out and enjoy it. = No call.
I see hype about these “awesome” job sites and respond to ads. No call.
They email me “thank you” for my resume now that I’m on their Royal DataBase. No call.
I have education, skills, talent, etc. No call.
Is it the online age where 19 yr olds are applying to the same positions as older professionals contributing to a blur in distinction and to a mass pool?
Ok, I lied. I DO get calls - but they reveal as “jobs” for door sales, telemarketing or even MLM. It’s a good learning opportunity for a teenager who lives at home and is just building experience. But I want a real job. I have bills.
WTF do I have to do?

I see plenty of teens working so it must be you. maybe you should stop using the word FxxK in conversations with recruiters.
Do you have any skills or experience? First jobs usually come about from someone you know. Got any friends? They have parents? Parents have jobs? ask them.
Maybe you need to just work somewhere (even McD) for a year to get experience. recruiters hate hiring people with no experience.
There are always day labor companies
Have you tried a temp agency? Some temp positions can lead to full time employment.
What is your trade? you didn’t mention that.
What kind of job are you looking for?
Do your qualifications need updating?
Why not try a temping agency? obviously it is not ideal, but so many temp jobs turn permanent nowadays.
Unfortunately the job market is so competitive at the moment and you may be aiming for jobs that are above your skills. You don’t say what your employment history is, but you need to start at the bottom and work your way up. Without a degree, that generally means grafting it for a few years.
Don’t be so upset, oneday you will get your job. Just be patient, nothing comes easy especially these days.

try a temp agency. many of them have spots that are temp to hire and if you apply, get a job, you may get hired by the very company you temp for.
i’m on the sameboat the job sites are mainly a waste of time the only one that works is school spring and even their its for lic teachers or in my case crap aide jobs. my mom has cancer so i can’t even try and work now trying the telecommute thing more bs if i find something valid will try and pass it on
I was fired from a job on June 6th due to new management in my firm and restructuring of my dept. - I was just hired yesterday for a new job! I’m going to tell you how I did it, even though “it’s a tough market out there right now”.
I bought a book called “interviews for Dummies” which you can buy on Amazon.com - great tips and advice on all kinds of things before, during and after an interview. Then I applied with about 6 job agencies, posted my resume on the local classifieds for free, and did some temp work to try and get my foot in the door. I didn’t hear anything for 3 weeks and then all of a sudden I got called to 3 interviews and had temp work all in one week! One of the interviews went exceptionally well and I got the job! It’s the job I wanted and in the area I wanted. No matter how many people tell you it’s tough to find a job right now, don’t listen. I didn’t listen, kept focused only on what I DID want, and got a job less than 4 weeks after I was fired. I had never been fired before so it was a tough blow for me. Your job IS out there, just work your butt off to get it! I also applied on line to countless help wanted ad’s and that became my full time job. If you work hard at looking, you WILL find what you are looking for! Good luck!!!
P.S. Try the Department of Economic Security in your area. The same gv’t. program that pays unemployment insurance to people who lose their jobs (If you’re in America). They have free help to help find a job.
